I grew up in the Midwest and graduated with a degree in music from the University of Iowa.
I taught school for 5 years, first in Iowa and then in California, where I lived in San Francisco and Santa Barbara.
During my time in Santa Barbara I learned to fly and eventually became a flight instructor. This evolved into opening a flight school which I owned and operated for nearly 20 years.
In the late 90's I learned to manage my flight school's website and then started creating websites for other people.
I learned that there are many businesses that need websites but don't want to make their own and are put off by the very high prices charged by many website building companies.
